Gobble Gobble
This post title is, I fear, subject to cultural interpretation. For the longest time, turkey was sinonymous with Christmas. Then, in grade school, Thanksgiving came into my life, and December was no longer turkey-exclusive. Nowadays, with local traditions gravitating towards lamb or morwong (with obligatory Wikipedia link, ofc.), turkey has lost most of its meaning, except for my (non-existent) local circle of Latin-American friends, with whom we can reminisce of memories of turkey past.
This year I made an exercise about positively, absolutely not complaining about the holiday season, at all. I was mostly successful, as I had several (as in, two or three) holiday posts cleverly disguised as movie reviews and “I swear to god I’m not complaining about the holidays” posts. But I knew what they were, and certainly most astute readers would’ve seen through the facade. Alas, all is not lost, as I have culled the non-cry baby portions of the posts, and I’ll compile them into several bite-sized bits which I’ll upload when I deem appropriate (aka “When I’m running out of ideas”).
Some of you might have noticed two things about the new design:
- I haven’t done squat about the color scheme, and
- There’s a sweet-ass Last.fm RSS sidebar.
Basically, I’ve been looking for a live playlist wangdoodle since, like, forever. I used to have one back in the day, but it was hastily MacGyver‘d by yours truly over the course of several sleepless nights. All in all, it came as absolutely no surprise (to me, at least) when it broke down and stopped working. No, I did not listen to Los Delinquentes on repeat for 2 months straight, that was the point where my cobbled-together blog playlist decided to asplode. Anyway, that’s a long-winded way of saying that Last.fm is pretty neat, and you should probably (definitely!) give it a go. I know my girl Nashira has already started spreading the good word in my user’s comments box, namely, stating that “my music is awful”. If this was a better world, I would’ve been served, and it would be on. I mean, if you can’t have a dance-off to settle your differences, then the terrorists have already won…

I had my “xmas pizza” both on the 24th at night, as well as on the 25th. Ah yes, the glamour of single life - what a ride.
I would have enjoyed your holiday grief, as I could have added plenty of my own thoughts to it. Regardless, you may have a point in not allowing yourself to fall into all that. Although it seems you did anyway, just that you didnt share it. BASTARD!
Merry F-mas and Crappy New Year.
POW!

Aw, so cute… I have a grumpy nerdy friend.
Last.fm’s really great, in fact, I had to reopen my blog just to give some use to it’s rss feeds.
Your music’s fine (as in “I’m patronizing you”). It’s you who sucks, you know why :(
